Our world is threatened by
War - Fightings - Terrorism
- Violence - Racism - Hunger - Poverty - Child abuse - Abuse and torturing
of animals - Environmental pollution - Drinking water problem - Social
and religious discrimination
As the recent civil conflicts, war and terroristic events elicited strong
international calls in defense of human rights and peace in the world,
the main goals of the conference will be directed towards issues on human
freedom, progress, prosperity and security.
This world peace conference
and the message of Mahatma Gandhi is dedicated to deliver a positive input
to the current world situation that is a concern of all citizens of the
globe.

The Conference is aimed
- to inspire a dialog for world peace through tolerance,
respect and understanding among religions, nations and cultures
- to strengthen the will to live together in peace regardless
of national borders, religious and cultural differences
- to awake the consciousness of our brotherhood and compassion
towards all creatures
- to open the inner door and enable us to communicate
liberally with each other and solve the problems non-violently
- to support physical, mental, social and spiritual health.
Further targets and objectives
To understand the fundamental role of
- Human rights, ethics and human values
- as the most valuable assets in social life for a peaceful global
living together of all nations, religions, races and different social
and ethnic groups.
- Sustainable development for
- environmental protection,
- pureness of drinking water, oceans, rivers, soil and air
as the primary basis of a peaceful and happy life on a healthy planet!

Initiator of this peace
initiative is His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda,
founder of International Sri Deep Madhavananda Ashram Fellowship
and the System "Yoga in Daily Life". He is born in Rajasthan, India
and has been teaching "Yoga in Daily Life" in Europe over the last
30 years. He especially dedicated his service to the Eastern Europe
countries during the communist era, giving physical, mental, social,
moral and spiritual support to people through his scientific YIDL-system.

For his tireless efforts
he received a written expression of thanks from President of Republic
Czechoslovakia. Mr. Vaclav Havel: "I greet Professor P. S. Maheshwarananda
and give many thanks to him for his selfless help in the spiritual
and practical aspects of life for the people Czechoslovakia through
the difficult times of the last 18 years. I hope for the further
blessed support of the Professor for our republic and wish him much
success of his work for the health and spiritual development of
humans" (Jan. 23, 1990)
Besides this ancient
scientific system "Yoga in Daily Life" Swamiji is an active initiator
of interreligious dialogs and peace prayers with world religious,
political, social and cultural leaders.
The system "Yoga in
Daily Life" is taught and practiced in more than 4.000 locations
worldwide. To coordinate the YIDL branches around the world, the
International Sri Deep Madhavananda Ashram Fellowship was founded.
It is a non-profit and non-denominational society whose activities
are to serve humankind by fostering world peace, humanitarian aid,
human rights, protection of the environment and all creatures, tolerance,
respect and freedom among religions, cultures and nations.
